Children’s Services

  • We provide preconception, general antenatal and postnatal care including contraceptive services
  • We hold 6 week baby checks and follow the childhood immunisation schedule
  • We aim to offer appointments at parents convenience after school hours.
  • We aim to assess all acutely unwell children when necessary
  • We work with Health Visitors and hold monthly meetings to discuss concerns.
  • We liaise with social services with regards to any child at risk

6-8 week baby checks are completed by the GPs. Click here for information about the mother six week postnatal check

Childhood immunisation takes place at the surgery (click here for the immunisation schedule)

There has been a lot of bad publicity about immunisation of children but remember, your child is in greater risk from contracting the disease than he or she is from suffering a reaction to the immunisation.
